A self-directed musician and educator with over 20 years
of experience in the field of modern music education.
With the mission to redefine music learning, he started
HARK MUSIC School of Pop in 1999, which targets on streamlined
concepts and dynamic applications, that has benefitted
thousands of students ever since.
MASTER TRAINER - MR. JACK LIM
A passionate composer & producer who has released
more than 30 compositions to date including the local
all-time favourite 关怀方式 (陈汉伟, 蔡礼莲) and Freedom (许玮伦/曹格).
As a music publisher and A&R person, he has also handled
various album productions for, 迷路兵, Dick Lee, Tanya Chua.
GUEST TRAINER - MR. COLIN QI
爱和承诺 (张学友/陈慧娴), 情系半生, 无所谓 (张学友), 两颗心靠近多一些 (孙楠), 难言 (梁詠琪)
are some of the hit songs written by this veteran lyricist
over the years. He has also worked with numerous renowned
composers like李伟菘, 李偲菘, 随安 & Iskandar Ismail.
1. I have got no/a little music experience, can
I join?
You should have a good music sense and basic skills of playing
the guitar or piano.
2. What musical instruments are used for lesson
facilitation?
Our classrooms are equipped with Yamaha Keyboards and acoustic
guitars.
3. What will I learn from the Boot-camps & Masterclassess?
The 8 sessions will cover proven strategies & step-by-step
formulas of writing pop songs. You will be guided on the
entire song writing process from generating an initial idea
to completing a demo.
4. I usually write English songs, is this course
suitable for me?
The music genre we are focusing is Mandarin Pop therefore
teaching of lyric writing will be in Mandarin. However,
the musical concepts introduced are applicable to all kind
of contemporary music.
5. What is the class size of the coaching sessions?
The class size is maintained at a small number between 8-12
students.
